I have a question regarding potential adverse chemical reactions from test kit waste products. Some of the chemical precursors used in testing seem to be fairly hazardous, and I'm rather hesitant to just dump the waste products down the kitchen sink (have small children, wife doesn't like chemical stuff around the kitchen). My question is this, will I be ok to dump all waste water into a single container that I can then dump in the bathroom, or will I risk a secondary (potentially harmful) chemical reaction? I'd rather not create some noxious chemical cloud by doing so...
The test kits I'm mainly concerned with are the Hanna checkers for Calcium, Alk and Phosphorus ULR and the Red sea pro kits for Nitrate/Magnesium/Iodine. I don't usually use all of them at once, but every so often I do a testing blitz and test for everything.
