Test Kits

Maybe your tank is stable and the API is wrong
I wish I had someone else around here to check with their kit. I'm thinking about ordering a Seachem kit. I heard of some people saying they are reliable. But I've also heard the same about Salifert. This API crap is throwing me off.

Yes I know but I'm using Dr Tims so I have to keep an eye on my ammonia and nitrites. So trying to figure out which one is correct.

I let the tank do its thing for a few days and checked again. Ammonia Api 8ppm Salifert 1.5 Nitrite Api 2ppm Salifert 2ppm. I'm going to a reliable fish store today and I'm gonna have them test it so I can know what to trust. I would have done this sooner but they are about an hour away.

FWIW, they'll just do another test which is no more likely to be accurate than yours. :)
