Test Kits

I need to buy a Cal and Alk test kit. I'm tired of using Salifert. Is there anything good other than Elos and Lomotte (I think there good)? I would like to try something a litte cheaper but good kits. If not, than I will have no choice to get either the Elos or Lomotte

I use LaMotte for Ca/Alk.

I use the Elos. Cheaper usually equals not as good and that definitely seems to be the case with these test kits. Spend the money and get the quality product.

I was doing a little research and it looks like the Lamotte has a refill kit. This might be cheaper in the long run since I have two tanks. Are the Lamotte colors easy to read when trying to figure out the cal and the alk?

I use Elos and my only complaint is that it is hard to read the colors on the Alk kit.

Thats strange Elos is easy to use it changes from cyan to yellow or orange
Plus it last longer if you use less tank water
