Test kits ??

What are people using for text kits these days for calcium and mag? I’ve been using salifert form the start but I’m not sure on them now. My mag reads off the charts after a week with no w/c and no dosing , and for some reason my cal is going up without dosing or w/c ... I’m thinking defective test kit even tho they’re no where close to expiration.

Hanna & Salifert I believe are the top two names in testing.

I don’t know what’s going on , one has an expectation of 2020 the other 2019

My magnesium also is giving me fits and unfortunately I feel that the only one to use for testing is Salifert. I wish Hannah offered a test kit for magnesium. What I do when I get tests that do not come out the way that I expect that they should based on how well I know my tank, as I will do three or four tests simultaneously and see how they come out....if all three or four of them are the same then I know that things are as they read. If not then I need to dig a little bit deeper.

Yeah I did like four test each for cal and mag , the last one for cal I did just now I got a reading of 480 and mag is still off the charts
