I’m in need of new test kits and not sure what one to get ..

So far up until now I have used API for everything
Nitrate , ammonia , nitrite , ph , kh , cal , phosphate
And Red Sea for mag , cal , alk ,
I also have a potassium kit for Red Sea but haven’t used in years ( probably expired )

my Red Sea alk kit doesn’t turn red when finished but turns yellow / orange

Hanna checkers are on my mind but are some better than others ?

what kits are recommended ?

I used to use API until I got on this site & started reading all the post about some of it not giving correct readings (mostly ammonia) now I use Sera, Salifert & Hanna. I've also read where Nyos test are pretty good also.

Hanna ulr for po4 and alk. Salifert for the rest.
I do use salifert and elos for alk as a check.
Hanna and Elos are same.
Salifert is always .5 lower for alk.
I always use Hanna for alk as its the one I check often and its quick. As long as its within .2 of 8dkh im happy.
My alk range is 7.5- 8.5 with 8 as the target.
Get the standards for Hanna as they are cheap and a way to tell if your unit is accurate.

I still like Red Sea and the reagent packages are the most affordable way. Considering you already have the rest.

Hanna for salinity, alk, and phosphate
Saifert for NO3, Ca, Mg. Although might switch to either RedSea Pro or Nyos for NO3
