I was wondering what you guys think of my test results? I need to get a way to get NO3 an PO4 down. Unfortunately I live in a very cold climate so ordering cheato is really an option. Trying to find locally but it is hard to come by. Call the only local fish store weekly. No coral only 3 fish. Want to get my first coral soon though. 10 % water change weekly.

Nh3 an no2 = 0
No3 = 30-40
Phos = .31 (hanna)
Alk = 8.7 (hanna)
Calc = 586 ( hanna)

Curious as to how your phosphate and nitrate are so high with only 3 fish and no coral. How much and how often are you feeding the 3 fish?
Are you water changing with RO/DI water?
How long has the tank been running and did you cycle with live rock or dry rock?

And after your cycle was complete did you do a large water change?

Your calcium seems pretty high as well, I would be curious to know what your magnesium is at.

I do a good feeding every other day with frozen mysis which I tend to think I am way over feeding. I use flake an pellet everyday an nori for the tang. I used dry rock. An yes rodi water everything that I make myself. 0 tds. I could do a large water change if needed. I have seen my nitrates come up roughly 10 ppm this week alone. I use reef crystals salt mix.

Is there alot of leftover food after you feed?
