Like the most of you i acquired a bunch of test vials and if you are like me and have OCD, i like to keep them organized, easily accessed and know they dried properly. Before this i would lay them on a towel and use something to prop them up at an angle so the water would drip off them. But i would still have water that didnt escape from inside the test vival, not even sure that this matters but it bothered me.

Being that i have 4 kids i remember seeing baby bottle drying racks and thought what a great idea it was to get one of these and use it for drying and storing test vials. You can go to target and pick up this brand for around 13 bucks and even get a bigger one for a little more.

Wow, I just got the same one. To avoid mixing the vials up, I used a sharpie to label areas on the plate border.

very cool guys, glad i can help! Lets be honest, there has to be thousands of people who have thought to themselves that they wish they had a good way to dry and organize their test vials.

Last night i did a water change and tested everything. It works out really nice because you can just grab the whole tray and set it down where you are testing. No more vials rolling around on the table

It's funny that I see this because I do the exact same thing

Same here. I never thought about sharing it with others cause I just assumed others were doing it as well. I guess having kids can have benefits lol. I also put the tips to the needles on there (using the green steams to hold them up) to help them dry out.

I also use a white wash bin to hold my test tubs and to clean them in. This way I don't 'dirty' the sink nor mix the chemicals in with our dishes.

I also keep a container of water around. Empty the used test water and put the vials in the container with water so nothing starts to dry. If you have any hanna checkers they say the solution can stain the glass if not removed which would effect future results. Im assuming they mean for extreme anounts of time but maybe its shorter. But like i said the main reason i do it is so nothing starts to dry.

Yea I wash my kit right after I'm done testing and then about once a month I soak them in a white vinager/water mixture to help get them really clean.
