I am dosing EVS Ionic -B two part. If I am testing all and keeping it in the 8 range is there any reason to be also testing calcium?

Most systems should consume both Alk and cal at the same rate .
and why most even myself dose equal parts ( I shouldn’t admit it but I generally only test alkalinity and nitrates . )

cal , mag and phosphates are tested but not frequent enough .

that being said I dose 2 part to maintain 7.5dkh assuming my calcium should be 425

when I test calcium it is very close to what I assumed it should be

I don’t use that stuff but understand where you are coming from. I test Alk once or twice a week and calcium in a blue moon.

I agree that dosing equal parts of ESV from a good starting point for calcium will ensure it stays god for a substantial periods. Weeks or months between tests is fine, IMO.
