Testing Tip: Log your testing and use alarms!

How many of you use logs and/or reminders (appointments/alarms) for testing and maintenance?

Microsoft Access Databases are pretty easy to write. I thought one for testing results would allow me to catalog, manipulate, and evaluate the data better but it really didn't help. Now, other than alk, I just test based on observations of the tank.
 
I started with an xcel spread sheet but have reverted to a school book. All daily (atm) water checks are logged and ny dosing, water changes, fish/coral additions etc in remarks. I do a daily sock change and 1st of the month carbon/gfo change. I like the school book as it cant crash and I lose the data...
