When testing with Red Sea Pro test kits do you fill the syringe with or without the tip on? Do you get all the air out of the syringe?

The tip makes up for .1 of the syringe.
So, When I fill the syringe and set the plunger to 1ml.
I make sure the air bubble is at .9, with the tip on.

Does that make sense?

Makes sense. I've always been some what of a perfectionist (pinhead) about things of this nature. I remove the tip and get all the air out before testing.
I need my GF to test alk daily and was hoping to make it easy for her.

It's been a while since I read the instructions, but I'm pretty sure it says NOT to try removing the air bubble.

The test is based on the assumption that you will have a bubble at the plunger of about .1 ml. The space in the tip of the needle is enough to compensate. If you have a really large bubble, you can fully depress the plunger into the fluid and redraw. Doing this will squirt out air if you have an oversized bubble.
