Hello everyone,
just thought I would share my new build.( reboot ) and bring it over here from RC as I spend more time here anyway... looks like I started this project 2/13/16 crazy how time fly's.

I am doing a reboot and I am moving the tank to a better place but I will get you caught up to date.

A little back story I got in to the hobby about 10 years ago. in that time I had a 90, 6'-125, 150, 240 75, almost a 40br and now a rimless 90.

I move a lil to much and once I got in to it I had 3 tanks running..haha

ok fast forward been tank less for a few years. decided to get back in with a KISS 40br...well you all know how hard that is. or least it seams to be anyway. got the 40 at the 1 per gallon sale decided to drill it. cracked the 1st attempt. back 100 miles to get another one. got that one drilled but was just a lil to low but i was gonna rock it. during the cycle the bulk head started leaking very slowly silicon-ed it worked for a few days then keep going would drip down inside of the paint in to the rim then over. was a pain...

so I just decided to treat myself to a new tank! I mean its the only sensible thing to do right?

a SCA 90 gallon rimless my 1st rimless. cube(ish)
36x 24x24 12mm starphire glass on 3 sides.

I decided to go with a 36" tank as I had my BML 36" MC 20K light waiting to be used. + my though was if/when I move again I would be able to easily keep the tank. I really had to resist there deal on the 150.

the tank is a real beauty! black silicone nicely done. polished edges..
BUT it's messing heavy. its not a bad thing its build like a tank with the 12mm glass but dang it was a pain to move in the snow and up a flight of stairs.

but so far i LOVE it!

equipment list:

~DIY 2x4 stand trimmed out in cold roll steel.
~40br sump 3 chamber
~reef octopus skimmer I kept from my 75 rated for 100+
~DIY ATS (not sure on upflow of waterfall or turbo style ) I really like the idea of ATS and may even go skimmer less
eek.gif

~ 500W heater
~ quite one return pump -update the quite one did not last long. then went to an ehiem now just bought the DCS 9000.
~ 50 lbs of TBS 2:1 LR
~20lbs of BRS reef saver now LR for cycling in that 4 months
~ I have one RW15 will add another next size up. the Rw15 still going but I did get a PP8 that never really worked.

lighting
another 36" BML 20K MC or XB
OR
reef breeders new photon V2 unfortunately BML shut down there aquatic division to focus on grow lights. :( so I ended up with the photon V2.

tank is going to focus on gorgs. sponges ,LPS and some softies and with a few select SPS like monti and birdnets. never did have any SPS in there.. and that's OK I love LPS and softies
I really like flow, and movement..

so let the fun began!

I built my own DIY stand: was not my best work my 1st diy stand for the 75 was build using the classic rocket engineer design. but some how I mess up in the process as i did not compensate for the 40br sump. but in the end I got her built and she still holding to this day!

in the 6th pic you can see the 40br in the back ground that almost got set up...dang leek.
I ws not able to use the extra wood in supports in the last pic as my 40br sump would not fit. some how I totally messed up there. cant remember why now tho...

ok i'll continue the story here and get us ought up to date....
some LR pic from the rock I got from TBS its the walt smith 2.1 rock aquacultured in Florida.

Great looking live rock!

yeah it was/is if your looking to set up a tank and dont like the look if supper white rock then its the way to go...
very mush alive...
in hind site I should have held it in the QT tank longer to get more of the gorilla crags out and the pistol shrimp...but oh well.

to be honest the price for not all that bad air fright is $100 or .90 cent a pound with a 100 mim, so yeah $100 bucks if I reminder right and the LR is...let me dbl check ....$5 a pound.

guess I should get back to the build thread...
I had the tank up stairs before the reboot here are some random pics I took over the year it was set up.
