Hi All,

I don't see this rock used all that much, and I'm considering using it. only because I love the look of it. Unless I shouldn't.

I started making my own rock with Portland cement etc but, one its to time consuming, in the curing process and a pain to make.

Clearly I need something a little more porous for bacteria growth and I'll have this in the sump buy the means of a heap coral rubble and some seeded base rock in the display refuge aka mangrove tank that I intent on building.

has any body used holly rock I think you can make some impressive structures

if anyone is using it show us

thanks for listening to may rant

I have a few pieces in my tanks just because of, well, all the holes. I find it a very easy way to make caves/tunnels for the smaller fish to hide in. The downsides are that it is not very porous and can possibly leech some PO4. Neither are problems that have ever prevented my from using it.

Leach phosphate, hahahahaha good reason to buy a phosphate reactor hahahahahahaha
