Texas Waterbox 220.6 +Plus HD

Just placed an order with saltwateraquarium.com for a NYOS Aquatics Quantum 160 protein skimmer, (2) 7" filter media cups and some new refractometer calibration fluid. The fluid I have is years old so I don't know if it goes bad or not so wanted a fresh bottle.

I know I won't be changing socks every couple days and washing them so I saw on Doostur's thread he linked some from their website.

Also I bought some lights that Doostur posted about for the cabinet sump. Already the little bit I have been under there it was a pain not being able to see everything well.

I made a thread in the lighting section but I am trying to find a recommended spacing between the mounts/lights. I will be ordering an Octo Lid and need to get exact measurements of all cutouts.

My initial salinity level was 1.018 2 days ago so that night I made about 4 gal of water and dumped around 10 pounds of salt. Checked yesterday and I am now 1.023. I got a little bit more to go to hit 1.026.

I also dumped in 3.5 bottles of bio spira

How long will the lid take to get here? Hopefully it will line up with your cycle well.

My Octo Lid came in 2 weeks ago for my 220.6!!!! You're going to love it! I measured it 6 times and it came in ALMOST perfect (my measurement, not Matt's fault). It looks amazing on the tank!

Nobody can notice it but me.....but I am an extreme perfectionist. It's less than 1/4"(probably less) short front to back. I did leave a little room for error. The cutouts were PERFECT. I have (4) Radion XR15 Gen4, Apex autofeeder

The lid is surprisingly light but WELL built.

It already saved me once when my Blue Throat Trigger scared the crap out of me and banged into the lid (unhurt).

Adjusted my lighting schedule and added some moonlights. These percentages are like the AB+ but I added more cool white since I don't like viewing a real blue tank. Moonlights come on at 8:30p and go off at midnight. Tank has no lights from midnight til 9a.

Just ordered (2) Ocellaris Clownfish ORA from TSM Aquatics! They were out of royal gramma basslets so I will just add it to my next order when my Octo lid comes in 4 weeks from now

Has the cycle already finished? Also, are you going to quarantine your fish? I would highly recommend it.

Received my first couple fish from TSM Aquatics on Friday. They arrived in great shape and have amazing bright colors. They are about an inch in length so hopefully I have a lot of years ahead to watch them grow

Everything going great so far. I’m actually disappointed I haven’t seen any algae grow/diatoms. I figured they would have shown up by now. Still no CUC ordered because of it.
