Recently placed an order with @Reefwise and was a bit skeptical at first. Then I found out they became a R2R vendor and a few people had commented on their positive experiences which alleviated my skepticism.

Today I got my Ventralis Anthias pair and a Rhomboid Fairy Wrasse. The packaging was great...Everything came in bags with plenty of water...triple bagged, heaters, etc...Before everything shipped Brian e-mailed my fiancee who placed the order to let her know not to combine the anthias and wrasse during acclimation due to the different salinity of water each fish was packaged with since they came from different systems.

I got everyone into their acclimation containers and they all looked healthy and were actually pretty active. Then I scooped everyone out and placed them into QT...The Anthias went into hiding immediately, but the wrasse just stayed out and started exploring.

I assume Brian also responds to facebook messages, but if not someone else at Reefwise has also been responding to some of my questions on facebook and giving me advice on how to get this Anthias settled into their new home.

Definitely would do business with these guys as it seems that they truly due care for the fish that they sell you and care that you're successful in keeping the fish after you have received them!

Can't wait to see what other rare fish they have in stock in the future!!

Thank you for the kind words!

For those of you wondering how we are so successful with Ventralis, here is our method: We have a portion of our coral trough sectioned off and designated as our Ventralis conditioning area. It is deeper than the common lfs holding tank and contains shelf and branch rock for shelter. We start with low lighting and then slowly increase the intensity. We feed them a mixture of PE Mysis, LRS Food, Hikari, & Doc's Super Eggs. After being conditioned they tend to pick out the PE Mysis first.
