I just fired up a 75 gallon to replace my nano cube. I'm trying to do everything right but I'm sure mistakes will be made. I'm leaving the lights off for as long as I can stand. The filter is an af100 sump with built in refugium. I'm looking forward to see how it performs. I started with dry Marco rock and new Fiji pink sand. Wave makers are 2- 2100 gph ebay buys that so far are pretty impressive and controllable. I plan to dose Kalkwasser and have my dosing pump connected to a Milwaukee ph controller. Skimmer will come later. Lighting will be 2 popbloom RS90s. I look forward to adding coral for a mixed reef tank. Currently have 2 clowns and a royal dottyback for the cycling. Thanks for all the great posts.

Welcome! Glad you joined. sounds like you are well on your way!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread under Forum > Member Aquariums and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)
