Hi I'm Richard I am cycling a 75 gallon fish only tank. I'm on day 12. 9 days ago I added microbacter quick cycle. Prior to that I added quick start from Tetra. My question is this these are my reading since I started.
Set up. 10-24 23 added quick cycle from tetra.
Salinity 1.027
10-27-23 alkaline check 10.7
Day 2 10-27-23 Added quick cycle microbacter
A 1.0 ph 8.0 nitrite 0.50
Day 3 A 1.0 nitrite 3.0
Day 4 A 0.50 nitrite 5.0 ph 7.8 Salinity 25
Day 5 A 0.50 nitrite 5.0 ph 7.8 Salinity 25
Day 7 A 0.50 nitrite 5.0 Salinity 1.024
Day 8 A 0.00 nitrite 2.0 nitrate 160 plus salinity 1.024 ph 7.5
Day 9 A 0 nitrite 5.0Nitrate 5.0-10 At 9 am
Day 9 A 0 nitrite 5.0 nitrate 40 at 9 pm
Any opinions on this. I'm using RO water I have a fluval 307 canaster and am adding a second fluval on Wednesday. I have 3 big pieces of live rock in tank I added 3 days ago.whats weird is my nitrite went down on Day 8 then back up on Day 9. Any advice would be appreciated
