I’ve had fish for most of my life. About 10 years ago i bought my first reef tank. “How difficult can it be?”
Went from 38 to 60 to 150 to 200g over the years, made lots of mistakes, but came to understand that most of my mistakes could have been avoided by posted comments on R2R.
so thanks to al of you!
Finally also found the courage to sign in!
I am now 6 month in a rebuilt. Got toxic dinoflagellates. (Lesson: if your snails fall of the glass and die, it’s Dino’s. If it’s toxic...bind with activated charcoal/carbon and get the QT tank and UV ready).

hi welcome to the reef going to love it here!!
lots of fun/info/fun/help/fun....

Welcome to the Reef. I had the same thing, all of a sudden my turbo was falling off the glass. Figured it out and cleaned it up, but I lost some snails, a shrimp, and a goby before it was all over.
Takes a long time. And while my PO4 andNitrate were 0, and it happened with phosphate absorber renewed, I can not help but thinking “if I would have better cleaning access” so I put the LR on stilts. 1”. Yellow Tang sleeps flat under it.
