Has anyone here used and had success with the Apec line of RO filters? I am currently leaning towards this unit but would love some input on anyone who knows anything about it. It's rated #1 on a few lists and it's also Amazon's best seller. Looks like it removes 98% TDS and makes about 40 GPD clean. Thoughts?

That is an RO only system.....with the reserve tank and faucet for under sink installment. This unit is for purified water to drink. If you purchase this unit, I would suggest picking up a separate DI canister so that you could bypass the polishing filter and reserve tank....to be used for your fish tank.

Another option is THIS unit from Spectrapure.....which comes with the DI unit.

Noted: failed to mention that filter was on my short list as well. the refurb with limited warranty just had me wanting to shop around also if you will. I missed the Apec not having DI as part of its 5 stage setup. I had also had visions of in the future retrofitting the reserve tank under my stand as part of my ATO system. I will continue window shopping. :) Thanks for your input on this.

Took your advise and ordered this one. ;)
