Has anybody ever placed an order with That Pet Place? I'm interested in placing an order with them, but I would like to hear if anyone has experience with them first.

I've been going there for about 20 years off and on, but within the past 5 years it seems that the selection and quality haven't been as good.

With that being said, I do still buy from there time to time... but I have been doing more online orders with sponsors on here.

NYAquatics and Zoacollector both have amazing fish.

I've used them twice for freshwater aquarium plants. Reputable and good experiences, IMO.

That Pet Place has been around for a long time and are trustworthy. I've purchased drygoods (although not in a while) and reef fish from them.

Dry goods for me too. Good price and prompt shipping.

I purchased dry goods on a drop shipped item, I believe it was a Trigger systems sump. This was 4+ years ago and they were very up front about shipping times and expected delivery date. No other experiences with them unfortunately. Have shifted the majority of my non-local purchasing to BRS and live stock to sponsors here.

I've been going there for a long time. The stock looks good for the most part. I don't think you'll have any problems.

I only placed one live stock order and it did t end well. The two clown fish i ordered were awful...pail, shredded fins, covered with ich. One died the following day, the other died on day six, one day past the guarentee period. Never again will i order from them. Im sure my experience was an exception not the rule, but im not willing to risk it, espically when they only offer a five day guarentee.

I was in the same boat. It was going downhill for a while. The shelves would have less and less on them and there was more and more space between items, but that was no longer the case when I went the other week. The previous owner sold to one of the higher ups (VP?), and things are looking pretty good again. As a matter of fact, I've got a kole tang and starry blenny from them looking good in QT right now.

I would order from them, though I've never used their mail order side.
