I just woke up to the gurgling of my emergency drain. Found my tiger tail cuc. had made its way into my overflow and into my drain. Are you kidding me..
I’ve gotten it out somehow, but Not sure what to do with it. I can’t tell if it was starting to expel its guts, there was some strings from the front end. Changing and adding carbon and ramping up my skimmer to run a bit wetter. Also mixing some water for a water change. Hoping it didn’t nuke my tank.. any help will be appreciated

If it released it's toxin you'll know really quick. Running carbon and a water change can help mitigate it.

Is there anything I should be looking for? Corals and fish seem fine at the moment. Though it’s only been an hour since it’s happened. What a way to wake up..

Corals are usually unaffected. Fish will have shown signs by now. Either breathing at the surface or starting to drop.

Hopefully I’ve lucked out, maybe. No signs of struggled breathing. Waiting on another 25 g to mix. Just want to be safe.

If it were me,, Sometimes i get carried away..
1.Large water change
2. Poly Filter in sump or over flow box.
3. Change Carbon in carbon filter and turn on 2nd carbon filter...
4. Insure i have at least 1/2 total system water volume of Salt water ready to do.. (THIS IS HARD FOR MOST I KNOW)

Carbon and Poly Filter would be my thinking...

GOOD Luck

Made it through the day with no issues. Did a 30% change through out the day. Big bag of carbon added and skimmer skimming a little wetter. But I think I lucked out
