The 150 Over Hang

Hello all this is my build of my 150 gallon with Overhang rock. I started this build well over 2 years ago and with family and job changes it just never got off the ground. well a few weeks ago I got it going again!! I started buy picking up a craigslist special basket case. got it home cleaned it up sorted through all the "Free Stuff" that was thrown in on the deal some was salvageable others were just scrap., but no the less i had a "Big Tank". first real thing I did to the tank was paint the back glass blue then shot over it with Black to darken it a bit. next I drilled the tank. that was nerve wracking.

after sitting for two years in the state you saw above I got to a point were I could finally move it in the house. my house is built on pylons not a slab floor so finding a suitable spot was kind of pain. but its in and I then started to do the final skinning of the frame and adding trim for ascetics. in the second image that was the rock scape I was going for. so I ordered my emaco of the internet and had it shipped so I could start the rock work.

got some new toys in from the Man in the brown Suit!!!

only need a few more pieces of trim and to skin the back side of the inside of the stand then it ready to be painted then for plumbing to start!!!

Went home on my lunch and added more to the Rock Scape into the tank it goes tonight!!

Got a lot don Last night Rock is in, Stand is almost painted, and all the stand inside and out is Skinned ready for paint!!

The A's soda/beer cups alone make this one of my favorite build threads. I also love the overhang look, very sharp looking, good job....go A's!
