Ok...so I wouldn't call them beautiful...some might say they're well...not beautiful...but anglers are some of the most interesting fish IMO. I saw this one in the Pacific Island Aquatics update, and I thought we should definitely have an angler show off thread!

Don't put any fish that you don't intend for it to eat in the aquarium with it. They will attempt to eat anything without regard for it's size. I've seen one swallow, then spit back a large Mandarin, swallow a whole number of green chromis, swallow half a wrasse which he eventually gave up on, and swallow half a large blue damsel that ended the same way. They are excellent fisherman (err Fisher...fish???) And it seems no challenge is too great. That said, they need to eat so plan on donating a chromis to the cause every week or two and they'll remain happy. Their color changes over time to match their environment so if you're particularly fond of a color they're presenting, make sure you have plenty of it present in the tank or they'll eventually lose it

Great to know! I have been looking to get one, but may decide against it after hearing this. Can you use black mollies instead of damsels?

I've heard of people feeding with freshwater fish but I've not tried it. The fish had to swim normal and get caught in order for your angler to consider it a meal. My guess would be that in order for it to work that you'd want to keep your salinity low, probably in the .17 range and drip the mollies. Of course that will limit your ability to keep any coral in the tank so I think that's why it's less common. I often see anglers in a species tank packed with softies and nps and so feeding chromis is easier because they'll survive without much drama for a week or two until the angler decides he's ready

Mollies and guppies can be transitioned to salt. You could have a separate breeding tank of mollies and use the babies.

+1.
Plus they digest their food very slowly, hence the need to only feed once a week or so. They can eat too much and refuse to eat until it is fully digested which can lead to the death of the fish. Also, some species get very large and without having the proper knowledge, most are difficult to tell apart!
