How hardy do you find your purple mask angel? I read that they were hard to get to eatI got mine from marine collectors. Took about a year of searching

Ok thank you very much for that valuable information. I’ll pass on them for now. My level of experience or expertise hasn’t got up to that level yet.Venusta are well deserving of the very difficult reputation. When they came in I started them for a week at 10-15 feedings a day. Over 3 months weaned that down to 3x frozen and 2x dry a day. Still lost the male from the pair to an unknown disease. Not a hardy fish at all, should be left to experienced aquarists.
Is there any dwarf angels that you would recommend?Ok thank you very much for that valuable information. I’ll pass on them for now. My level of experience or expertise hasn’t got up to that level yet.
Ok great. Thank you very much.Generally flames, coral beauties, Flame backs, and the caribbean pygmy are regarded as the hardiest.
Beautiful fish! Here's the pair. pic courtesy of my lfs:

Wow!!!! No issues getting your Regal to eat and adapt to aquarium life?My Regal and my Male Flame angels jousting. The Regal was smaller but slowly catching up to the Flame, which maxed out in growth, I think.

Ok great. I’m trying to decide on what other angel I should get for the tank when the time is right. Regal is one of the ones that i’m thinking about. I’m definitely getting a Scribbled Angel to go in the tankSmall Regal Angels do better, than large big ones IME
.
Very nice. From the Res Sea? What size of tank are they in? I want to put the Scribbled and another one in a 205 gallon tankAnother view of one of my two Regal Angels

very nice. Do you have them in the tank with other angels? Any tangs in there with the regal? If so, do the high pace of the tangs bug the Regal? I read that it could affect the Regal if the other fish in the tank are too active or aggressive. Thoughts? My two Regal Angels are from Maldive. Got them from Alton/Live Aquaria when they were very small. Theya re in a 320DT. About two years in captivity. One of my favorite Angels.
Ok good.I have 5 angels in my 320 gal tank, Flame and 2 Regal Angels. 3Tangs, a Purple, a Yellow and a Powder Blue. The angels sometime flaring at each other, mainly the male Flame and the two Regal angels. Other than that no problem. The other large fish is a Harlequin Tusk. I had a Copperband Butterfly but he was killed by one of the carpets.
so cute fish, I like so much it)My pair
