The Angel Lovers Thread

I have a potter's angel coming and he will complete my angel collection.. Emperor angel (large), potter's angel, flame angel, and majestic angel.

I'll throw my question in here. For reintroduction in to my tank, what do you guys think?

-emperor (7")
-flame (4")
-majestic (3")
-potters (3-4")

I was being advised to drop all at once, which doesn't sound terrible. I was thinking smaller ones first, maybe one every two days.

Thoughts?

The Flame and Emperor are the most aggressive of the bunch. I would put the potters and majestic in first, followed by the flame and last the emperor
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing but didn't know much about the disposition of potters angels. That really helps!

You forgot to tell them that the Emp and majestic are buddies in your temp tank.

Oh yes, the majestic and emperor are buddies and the flame is not a big fan of the majestic and had to be eggcrated off in his own section. The flame and the emperor got along as well. The potters is a wildcard because he arrives Sunday. I'll have to do TTM on him first before even testing the waters with compatibility.

I love angelfish! I wish I could keep more of a variety of them.

They are the coolest fish you can have in your tank IMO, followed by butterflies and tangs. Plus there are so many rare and cool angels compared to all other fish, plus the Holy Grail of fish is a angel!

The bottom angel with the cardinal, what is this one called?

That is correct. That one jumped when I had forgot to put the screen back on after a water change.

I do have another one now that is doing great. Right when I was taking down my 210 (( in the process of building a new house, in a temp 75 at the moment )).

Technically it is venusta, it had been thought that the genus Centropyge was masculine, but was found out to actually be feminine, so any names that ended in -us had to be changed to -a.

Wow, big deal..., who cares. Lol.
