Big Pomacanthus imperator, Emperor Angelfish. A real puppy dog of a fish.

My favorite angelfish. Pygoplites diacanthus, Yellow-belly Regal Angelfish. This one is getting quite large for the species.

Genicanthus lamarck, Lamarck's Angelfish. The big male, and then some offspring shots. This species will always be special to me as it is the first angelfish species I was able to raise from an egg.

It's a 3-4 year captive fish if I remember correctly from a person even more careful than me with coral and fish QT.

There's too much money in fish in my tank to wing it these days. I QT all incoming fish but I'm glad you asked to bring up the topic to others on how important it is to QT.

Funny thing, other then some grunting by the emperor and some flexing by the other angels, the one who pestered him the most at first was the black tang. Otherwise, two days later and they all get along.

That is great! I too do not mess around with new fish...they get qt time and that is it! Again he is very beautiful...glad it settled right down and he can enjoy a long life in your awesome tank!

This is my only other angel at the moment, but I would love a genicanthus angel... wantanabe maybe. I wish I could keep other bigger angels, maybe one day I will have a very large tank with big enough coral colonies that they won’t mind being trimmed from time to time

My favorite angel by far. It seems like a very healthy specimen (deep purple, bright orange, and it fades to Almost black on the rear. As opposed to the pastel colors that you usually see). Did you purchase him eating or did you get him to eat?

Finally after over 2 months in QT I put these scribbled angels into DT a few days ago. So far so good!! Fingers crossed lol. Thanks
