I recently upgraded my mixing station to now include a wireless remote to pump water in and out of the system. It makes my water changes a five minute very easy process.

I made a video of my water change mixing station and you can see the 3 channel remote I’m using.

Sometimes it’s hard to watch your own videos I don’t normally speak so calculated that I have to stop in between words. But you guys get the point.

Can you scramble or set frequencies on that fob? That is pretty slick, but I'd worry about the neighbors garage door opener or remote vehicle start doing funny things to the setup. That is a really nicely planned station you have and a great video.

Well lucky for me I don’t have any neighbors. I also always keep the quick connect hose end attached so that if it were to just turn on for some weird reason, all that it would do is circulate the water in the container.

I bought a few of those remote outlets from Amazon (I forgot what for and they're still packaged). They have on the package which frequency it is so if you have more than, you're not turning on 2 outlets with one remote. Luckily I got 3 different frequencies of the 3 I bought.

I'm curious if they go through walls.

Thanks for sharing. Very impressive.

Yes the range on them is very good. They say 80’, and it gets every bit of it. Walls aren’t a problem at all. I bot 2 packs of them and all 6 outlets are different.

Have used a single like that for years, works great

Plug my mag 18 into it, python hose connected. Plop it in my brute to pump new salt water back to the tank. Plop it in my sump to pump water out

The remote is the way to go, for me.

I thought about the single but the triple I feel works well for me.

I just keep a Quiet One pump in the sump with the hose coiled up, the end is attached into the sump just I ncase the pump kicked on it. Then it would just recirculate water through the sump. This is Channel 2, and I have a mark on my sump that is 20 gallons and I can pump straight out of the sump to.

And in the video you can see what channel 3 is. It returns fresh mixed water to the sump.
