OH are you kidding? Who doesn't want to hear a perfect moment story! I have so many negative things happen it ALWAYS great to hear a good fish tail! LOL
What's your perfect moment? ( can't guarantee someone wont move this thread that always happens!)

I'm working on ours now he's checking out foods n nibbling so it's a great start for us and our mandarin. Congratulations

Awesome! Congratulations yourself! After mine ate the one pretty large piece I did not see him go after anything obvious but I think he is picking up the ones that settle in the sand and on the rocks because he was picking way more that he has! But I feel at least even if he doesn't eat that all the time I know now he wont starve!:D

Here is how I converted all my Mandarin on frozen brine. Besides buying one that eats frozen already.

Put some pods in a baggie along with a sponge. Transfer the sponge to your display tank. The mandarin will start understanding that is where food is. Start basting frozen brine at the sponge and you will see your Mandarin slowly convert over. Once fully converted, my Mandarins all still hunt for pods but when its time to eat they will actually start nipping at the baster lol.

I've transferred two of my Mandarin's over and a friends Mandarin that I was watching for him. He was happy he no longer needed to buy Reef Stew.

I use Spirulina Brine Shrimp as I noticed they are the perfect size for Mandarin's. I have tried Mysis before but they are typically too big for their mouths.

You guys are awesome I had a pod hatchery while I qt my mandarin and tried to get him to eat frozen . I didn't have much luck but luckily he was going into a large tank and that pod hatcheries are relatively easy. They are amazing fish and now that I'm down to my 2 small tanks unfortunately don't trust enough that I could keep one alive. I do like hearing these awesome success stories though. I wish more people wold research and make good decisions
