They hang out a good while for good tank cleaning occasionally. It's the Bear Grylls version of coral strength training. No really it's an inherited trait/ability that degree of adaptivity alone is good subject matter. Up to 30 mins so far

thank you for checking ~ I thought it would be funny to put em on the fridge a while, they hold all my frags in place when the bowl has water in it.

Was playing up on the biological part of corals that allows for emersion/tidal exposures and how far across genera it goes...these frags routinely set half hour or more in the air. the whole reef gets drained for air training actually, and to see what these little rascals will tolerate

they tolerate quite a lot. that whole bowl can be drained even mid day, polyps full, down to nothing for half an hour. refill, they move on as if nothing. happened over a thou times easily, its 12 yrs. even though its hard on them with that water weight, they'd go hours in that condition most likely.
