how many of you have mastered this and how do you do it. What is the best way to keep ph from never leaving from 8.2 to 8.4.

You will see that their are several ways of doing it, just depends on which way you want to go. I use a C02 scrubber attached to my skimmer and use a solenoid hooked up to my Apex to direct whether the air going into the slimmer go’s thru the scrubber and it just bringing in room air.

thanks for that I've intentionally avoided the CO2 scrubbers not because of any personal reasons or anything against them yes that seems like a lot of extra work to have that system 160 gallon I had a bigger tank it would make perfect sense to me trying to find a little bit easier way of going about this though i no refugium are a good way to go about it sump on this tank doesn't have a refugium section at the moment and that really sucks to it was supposed to. bought it at my local fish store they told me I did and I was good got home and no refugium I was super sad I'm sure they just made a mistake in a misidentification of the sump did not return as they are 150 miles from my house.

I've stopped caring too much about my PH. But I do measure CO2 levels in the living room and if that is too high my domotica system will increase the ventilation. I also run a chaeto reactor to lower the co2 levels at night

I keep my house pretty well aired out and then never worry about pH.

Some people crack a window like an inch and expect some big-time changes. I run a 48" attic fan at like 14,000 cfm for at least 2-3 hours every day when it is nice (all spring and summer) and also on winter days when the temperature will get into the 60s. This keep the pH higher than anything else. It has gotten to where my wife and kids ask for the attic fan if the house has been closed up for a few days - everything loves the fresh air.

Reverse light cycle refugium is the second best thing that I have ever used.
