I have mostly zoas/palys. I've been testing with good success diff LED light spectrums with light bars that can be found all over Amazon in every nm color you can think up......I'm not talking the toy led light strips you line your deck/patio with... but LEDs that dedicated to plant growth
My main light is:
* 20k MH 2x 250w
* A 72in LED fixture with mostly 460nm and 12k LEDs
I added 3mos ago:
* 48in 420nm reefbrite bar
* 72in 390nm UVA bar
* I've seen green palys turn mint blue which I believe is contributed to the UVA light
So...... the big RED test is adding
* A 72in 400nm-700nm RED growth LED light that can be remotely dimmed from 100-10%
* it's made especially for house plants but I'm gonna try it at low % levels for my zoas and palys for supplemental color of zooxanthellae
I'm starting at 10% and bumping it up week to week to see what are the results.
I'm really not seeking anyone opinion on RED 600nm light, I've read all the articles. I know what I'm getting into with the 600-700nm red spectrum. I know to respect it, thsts why I like this growth light that dims from 100% power to 10% power
You can tag along if you want.....
