I got rid of my small refuge in my 425xl, and started dosing the aquaforest bacteria for a few months, np pro and bio s, even the power bacteria also but never could get my nitrates below 10-15ppm, not high but I like it lower for my sps, after my bottles were finished I went back to old reliable NOPox, within two weeks NItrates were below 5ppm, about 6 weeks in I started noticing some of this red slime in the sump, is it some sort of bio mass, I cleaned out my sump then tonight trying to get the drain from making noise I removed the cover of the overflow and the thing was filled with “the BLOB”, I thought I used to get something like this from running biopellets years ago, any thoughts????
