Hello Y'all ! Here's my first attempt at creating a saltwater dream of mine for over 20 years. Growing up here along the Texas Gulf Coast ,the salty life runs in my veins. So after many years fooling around with fresh water tanks, I finally got enough courage to take the plunge into the SALTY LIFE! The internet and forums like REEF2REEF have really taught me much and built up my confidence in making my dreams a reality. So... here's my take on a 29 Gallon Corallife Biocube. Purchased November 2012 ,cycled and stocked in Jan 13. It's had many changes and upgrades over the years. From removing the bioball filtration to removing the lid and making it topless aquarium with a Kessil A150W Ocean Blue pendent lighting, it has been a learning experience.

here's a early video I made before I knew what the heck I was doing ! haha

I had to move the tank about 9 months after setting it up because the ac/heating vent would blow right on it ,so needless to say I had to break it down and the tank recycled on me. Over all it was for the good, it kinda let me start over. I ended up gutting out the stock pump 9replaced with Colbalt MJ1200) ,removed the bioballs and added a mini refugium (live rock /chaeto algae with lighting).

Currently stock with soft corals ,mostly Zoanthids , mushrooms, and Palythoas and 3 heads of Blastomussa Wessli (LPS) . I'm big into inverts ,as you'll see I have a few shrimp, hermits and snails. Red Blood Shrimp,Skunk cleaner,Pepermint and a Harlequin shrimp that goes back and forth between my aquariums for Astrea Starfish control. Fish wise I have a Yellow watchman goby, 1 Longspine Cardinal and a Green Mandarin Dragonet that helps control the pods. One of the reasons I redid the filtration. tons of pods!

Very nice looking tank!!!

A few more updated pictures. Enjoy!

Yes that's a battle ship with mushrooms and blue snow flake polyps growing on it.

You should get some acans for the bottom of your tank, they would look really good in your tank.
