So how many of you have fond memories of leafing through this book and dreaming of a tank full of SPS corals. I got my copy probably 15+ years ago and it is what fueled my desire for a SPS dominated tank.

I just recently setup a new reef tank after a 10 year hiatus and the first thing I did was pull this out and leaf through it for inspiration and a trip down memory lane.

I'm curious what people think of the book now that you can google coral on the internet and see more amazing pictures than were ever imaginable when this book came out.

I saw my friend's reef almost 30 years ago and was blown away. I had only kept freshwater aquariums since I was a kid. He saw my interest and gave me a copy of a book he had. I immediately dove in and educated myself. I still have that amazing book today.

Here is the book that taught me how to setup my first saltwater aquarium. Published in 1996.

The days of pc lights, undergravel filters and air stones. Still surprised how those fish survived.

Memory lane, I have Moe's book and the new saltwater aquarium book. One of my first reef books as well was Theil's advanced reef keeping. Julian's book was amazing as well because of all the great pictures.
