I am in charge of managing the construction of a new office for my company and the boss wants a tank built into his book shelf. I must be seen from three sides and be an 18" cube, so it will be a small peninsula tank. I purchased a low iron cube and canister filter from BRS and sketched up what I want for the cabinet maker. The light is a Kessil of some sort from his old tank. I will start posting pictures as this progresses.

Here is what I gave the cabinet maker. Let's see what he comes up with.

The custom cabinets are finally finished and partially installed. They should be completly installed in a day or two but for now here is how the tank fits.

I finally received the custom built tank from My local fish store, Exotic Aquarium in Sacramento. It only took 2 weeks and the dimensions were spot on. The low iron glass is very clear and no rim gives it a clean look. I have some work to do on the plumbing and I should be ready to fill it in a week. What sort of inhabitants

should I put in it? I would love to see a green terror but my boss may not approve. Exotic Aquarium has some balloon green terrors, which I have never seen before. That might go well with the green trim in the carpet.

The boss's tank is finally finished and stocked. Because the tank is backed up to the cabinet I had to 3D print the inlet and outlet for the canister filter. The black ABS filament I used looks pretty good. I boiled the large piece of drift wood for 6-8 hours in a turkey fryer to stop it from floating. The last things I want to do are notch out a spot for the heater and install a mount for the feeder. The Kessel light should provide enough light for the plants if the pleco does not eat them first. A small ATO pump in a 5 gallon bucket is located behind the lower door.
