The Build Thread l- Bart's Old 60 Gallon

All right, it's been a while. I'm back.

I finally started a new job. Nearly three months of unemployment living on ramen and Chef Boyardee didn't leave me much room to improve the tanks.

Yellow watchman goby in the back tank is missing. The last time he went missing I found him in the sump living happily for who knows how long. No sign of him there this time.

Fought a mild bout of cyano in the back tank.

The sebae in the back tank has gotten huge. The RBTA is somewhat nursed back to health and I'll be handing him off as originally planned.

As for the front tank, I have reduced the amount of black gravel further.

I never logged adding the coral beauty angel to the big tank- that was December.

Mama's remaining consort died and vanished over a weekend. I never even found a trace of a body.

Remaining livestock in the big tank are the engineer goby, the coral beauty, Big Mama, and the cardinal.

The coral frag is going well- will post a pic for an ID.

Congrats on starting a new job and off of ramen! Haha!

Well, continued the slow gravel removal from the 60 gallon.

Two deaths in the back tank. I'd noticed the smallest of the three clowns back there had been skittish and hiding in the rock or the castle lately. Today when I came home from work, "he" was dead on the sand at the back of the tank with most of his fins chewed off. When I picked up the castle to make the body easier to net, the lawnmower blenny fell out, dead.

Really, I think that's it for that tank. I think the CUC made the presumed corpse of the yellow watchman goby vanish. Never have found it dead or alive since I restarted that tank.

Currently fighting an algae problem in the back tank- need to get a new lawnmower blenny I guess.

Yesterday, I recovered the body of the coral beauty angel before the CUC finished it off. Sigh.

Dang, man. Hate to hear of your CBA. Any idea why? Do you think it may be related to the algae issue?
