Ok, so I am planning a 200 gal build. I have almost everything planned out except....the type of doser that I'm going to use and the method/brand of additives.

There are so many different systems out there for additives and supplements I have no idea where to begin. So far in my 55gal reef I have been using seachem, but the small amount of corals I have make this a feasible brand. Once I begin the 200 I will need a new method. I was looking at Triton but don't know what I'm looking at as far as monthly cost. There seem to he so many methods, and figuring out exactly what I need to buy and what is just add-on is very difficult. Any help would be great.

My suggestion is to begin with a standard two part, either commercial, such as B-ionic, or my DIY, such as from BRS.

Manual dosing is fine until the alk demand increases to about 1 dKH per day, then use a doser.

I used limewater in an ATO for 20 years, and that is another fine choice, but won't meet the demands of a heavy SPS tank.

Once you are going, you can decide if you want to dose other additives, such as iron, nutrients, etc.
