The coral obstacle course

Think fish are pretty good at dodging the corals and rocks and believe its all to do with their lateral line which helps them school/shall and avoid obstacles but im sure they will be accidents now and then
I've come home to several broken branches, are they doing this on purpose!!! Those buggers I feed them good why would they do this to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible picture - I know under heavy blues - but captured this gem of a pic: urchin carrying a hermit holding one of my plates.

That is so funny. I just added a couple plates. Have you had good success? I hear they are challenging after 6 months.

Here is my urchin after she picked a few zoas to spice up the spines a little.

They absolutely do, my fish in a fish room that are less use to people dart around when scared and they have broken corals and snapped corals in half thats why I got rid of this b.n it's a fish wound/killer IMO.

I think the culprit may have been caught in the act! Look at that face! It may be a tang thing tho - guilty face I mean lol :)

I've seen weird scrapes on my foxface which is the most skiddish, but he also sometimes puts his spines up at the tang, but I believe he is the culprit, and with his hazzy eyes I wonder how good he can even see, along with that and the wounds its just not worth having an eye poker in the tank for a possible issue..

They have been in for ~ 5-6 months. All well so far. The lil green ones came in In pretty rough shape. They had been kept between various euphyllia and Acans on egg crate. The orangeish/red one has grown up quite a bit. It found its spot and doesn’t move. Fun to feed!

These dudes are great cleaners huh
Yeah I had two but I got tired of them removing my frags, and possibly scratching my glass ( although i have no proof of that), but they are so cool looking, that one you have looks really good the blue stripes and all the spines are in very good condition, it's happy!

Who knows, maybe a rebel off a fish who just wants cause destruction ha ha

But I think they do quite well considering the size of tanks we put them in with sometimes so many fish.

Maybe they just reminding you that you over due your fragging ^_^

Thats true they do extremely well for how small the tank is.

I do wonder about the glass and they are chomping down on the coralline on the powerhead so I'm sure they are eating plastic too.

I guess I have to stop blaming my turbos for everything.

Very nice! I feed heavily so they are in perfect position to “catch” mysis (more just lands on them). Was target feeding reef caviar for awhile until I forgot to put it back in the freezer and it melted on my office desk lol. But yes in general just fed what lands on them.

Cool that's what I've been doing also
