The Coral Restoration Foundation is the first in the Caribbean to "farm" corals in underwater nurseries. The intent is to plant corals from the nursery onto reefs where these staghorn and elkhorn species once flourished. In this video CRF Founder Ken Nedimyer credits the aquarium hobby for much of the Foundation's success.

That's awesome! I was able to visit some of these type of farms on my trip to Fiji last year. They've been very successful theres so hopefully it will be in the Carribean as well
