What is the correct way to read salifert n03? Some say they higher number side is divided by 10 (when looking at vial from the side) and the lower side of chart is when looking straight down the top and vice versa. Can anyone really inform me on this thanks

You look down through the vial. You look between 25 and 50 somewhere

You can look through the side held against the white of the card if it is very faint in color as well. And then divide the matching number by I believe 10. It specify the math in the instructions.

Either way is the "correct" way. Generally the view from the side is when you have very low reading and want more precision.

I always look through the top of the vial and have a nice white light shining on my work station. Never knew we were supposed to divide by 10 you’re telling me ive been at 2.5ppm this whole time?

Yes. Only when it's on the very low end would you want to look through the side.

You only need to only divide when looking through the side at lower nitrate readings. If you look through the top and can easily see what color matches you don't need to divide it.
