That's interesting how yours is green like mine. I wonder why some are green vs Brown

Do you dose any phyto or any additive with a greenish color? Or possibly do you have tangs that you feed algae sheets to regularly?

I threw my week of pics together in an animated .gif... (really simple to do if you goto the site that's tagged on the corner of it)

Just frozen formula two flake spectrum pellet and reef nutrition flake. Nori here and there not daily.

Aqua maxx ecomaxx EM500 rated for 500 gallons. It's a beast!

I have a 300 gallon DT with 60 gallon sump. Run a dual gfo reactor from BrS. Two filter socks changed every 4-7 days. Dart hybrid return. Flow inside tank with 2 new jebao rw-15.

Lots of sps, Lps, bta, and carpet.

Too many to name crabs, snails, shrimp.

Large powder brown
2- yellow tang
5-blue/green chromis
2-schooling butterfly
1-dispar anthias
1-Kauderns Cardinal
1-flame angel
1-black combtooth blenny

My ato pumps kalkwasser as top off. I do water changes of about 20% biweekly to monthly, depending on my schedule.

I absolutely love mine! It keeps my tank algae free. You'll be proud you spent the money :)

That's the best part I didn't pay full price for it ;) saved a ton of money! Our club had it for auction and I was the winning bidder:)

I forgot to add my other skimmer; I think it fits in the dirty skimmer cup thread.

I don't exactly remember :squigglemouth: I have this guy on a nice dry skim and this could have been at least a few weeks worth. The overflow is the added bonus of forgetting to turn this guy off and the water level changed. However, it makes a nice dramatic effect for us all! :xd:

I have an Avast Marine Skimmate Locker that I empty about once a week.

I have since scraped the SRO-3000int I had in the pictures above and moved to an EM200. I don't know if the RO was too big (I had more big messy eaters when I had it though), but the EM200 beats it hands down. Not to mention I never have to mess with the adjustment and the body is holding up way better. Definitely is a beast so I hooked up the drain with a simple manual ball valve and drain it a few times a week. I was happy enough with it that I picked up an AquaMaxx media reactor recently and have been just as happy with that.

And the consistency at the bottom of the cup

_DSC7180.jpg

most of the thick sludge got sucked in the drain when I opened it so there was maybe 2-3 times this amount...
Was a fun game but no fun cleaning. we should create some animated gifs to show all those beasts filling up over 7 days.
This is ridiculously impressive and satisfying in a weird way. What is all that junk at the bottom? I've never seen anything like it before. Impressive!
