After finishing up the basement with coastal in mind here in the Midwest, I'm able to start making progress in the journey. The tank on the floor, I think is a 125. My plans for that is a display refugium.
The back side, I wired in the network, a dedicated 20a GFCI.
The back wall, I plumbed in water and filtration. I'm still entertaining some options for a mixing station. I should be getting my 20g waterbox this week, after it's established, and I get some real experience, not just doing homework it will become a quarantine tank.

10/Oct/20 update.
Little bit of a direction change but still moving forward and learning. Today the monkey and i did some reefscaping. Would say we had some success. Watched a vid on tidal gardens using super glue and sand for the bonding. Seemed pretty straight forward. The local shop has very little when it comes to rock, sand and getting set up, so i had to go another route. After the rock and glue came in i was questioning the sand and choices for the bonding. I got a bag of whatever sand just to use as a filler that i did not end up using.
When i started drilling the rock to try and get it to break the way i wanted it, something didn't look right when i started getting things apart and did not like how it was looking. So i opted for the brute force method and used the ball pain hammer making big rocks into little rocks, seemed to look more natural to me and little man. In the process, I was getting rubble everywhere, then it hit me. Scratch using the bag O sand, use the leftover from the breaks and crush it up some. Grabbed a landscaping brick from outside and used it as a base to smash up the rubble into something fine, with various sizes to hide the joints. Observe the photo, that one piece has two joints on it.
I was skeptical on the integrity of the glue and joints, it's solid. It's not going to be the joint that breaks, it will be the rock.
Okay moving forward. We kicked around a couple ideas on how we wanted to do this, drawing up ideas on paper before hand. Keeping in mind that we want to allow plenty of room for things to grow, structural integrity as it's going to get heavier, water flow/ trying to minimize the dead spots and light exposure.
This year has been hell for me and seem to have forgot that i still need to finish the frame for this tank. I've got most of it done, just need to finish welding it up. Using 4"x4" 1/4" wall square tubing. I know it's over kill but it's what I had. Looking to do copper sheetmetal wrapped around the legs. We shall see :)
I'll do another update when i get the water in and start the 4mo cycle. Perhaps it's a bit much i just want to make sure i have a zero base line to start from. In the mean time little man and I are going to build two quarantine tanks to make sure all is well. Baby steps y'all.
