I just was thinking that I have been doing this a while, not as long as some but have gone through so many phases.
I have been in the hobby for about 18ish years and in that time have always had a tank. Fresh water before that.
In the beginning I had tanks everywhere from 5-90 gal. Reef tanks full of softies, FO systems, ect. Over time this widdled down to just a tank or two, but I change tanks it seems every few years. I went through the usual coral transition from softies to lps to sps. I went back to softies with lps, then added in sps again ect...
I know over time I have had 5g, 10g, 20gal L, 20gal H, 25 gal cube (currently up), 40B, 40T, 75 RR, 90 RR, 110 RR (going up now), 150, 180, and a custom 160. Theres probably a few others I have forgotten about, point is I seem to change tanks a lot.
I have just found that over time I get to a point where minamalism is ideal, like a small tank, low maintance see,s great. Then I get a revitalized interest in some things that would require an upgrade (like me thinking of labrids now lol) and I setup the new system. A few years down the line I decide to change it up again...I am gonna try real hard this time to leave the 110 for atleast 5 years. We will see....
Anyone elese have this problem?
