Forget the Lacey Act thing, I just watched a documentary called Moonfall all about how the moon is going to crash into earth. Stock up on frozen mysis and aquarium salt before it's too late!

Is this the ‘documentary’ featuring Halle Barry, Patrick Wilson, and Donald Sutherland? I heard it wasn’t very good.

But I did see this excellent documentary a while ago. It’s about how in 1995 Aliens blew up the White House, along with a bunch of other major cities because they wanted to steal all of our natural resources. But this computer genius hacker devised a computer virus that would disrupt the Aliens’ ships’ shields allowing an opportunity to blow them up with nuclear weapons. So they commandeer a crashed alien ship to fly close enough to the mothership to upload the virus, and then Randy Quaid kamikazes a nuke into the mothership because the missile launcher jammed and it was the only way, he destroyed the alien ship and saved the planet. Oh, and this all happened on the Fourth of July, which is why it’s now a national holiday. That’s the day we gain independence (which is why the documentary is ‘Independence Day’). It’s just a really good, historically accurate documentary. You should definitely check it out, it’s such a pivotal moment in our history.

Have you been to Washington D.C since this happened? They really did a good job of rebuilding it all

I have, it’s super impressive, it’s almost like nothing happened!

Reminds me that when I was a kid living in California, I went to sleep one night with a big moon shining in my bedroom window.

While I was asleep we had a big, damaging earthquake.

The first thing that occurred to me was that maybe the moon hit the earth. lol

LOCAL FISH STORES NEED TO WATCH THIS. Finding out the Lacey Act IS TIED to an economic act that brings back manufacturing chips for industry. 200 amendments address the animals in this bill. The bill would affect aquaculture as it addresses interstate travel of animals. BRS talks about the Lacey act. wHAT STORES AND SELLERS CAN DO IN THE FUTURE. This was a good watch. I watched it to the end.

Which 'big' one was your first? My pops tells me still about Sylmar in '71. Mine was Whittier in '87. Starting highschool then and lived within 10 miles of the epicenter, wanna talk about the ground moving!

That was it, Sylmar. I lived in Granada Hills. Quite an event for a kid. Stuff dumped everywhere. Tsunami from the pool cutting off my parents escape out the back door. Drunk cats (from broken liquor bottles splashing them) getting thrown in the car trunk and evacuating due to gas leaks. School closed for at least a week. Using the swimming pool water to flush toilets.

The good old days. lol

It’s not going to pass. We talked about that in your other thread. it will most likely fail in the senate and go to negotiations where this portion will drop and so will others. Every bill goes through this….add ons galore. When I read this bill, I believe there were something like 200 add ons to the original bill.
