What are your thoughts? Any personal reflection? I am writing mine now. Pretty much an overview of 15+ years in the hobby. Starting at age 10 (total noob) to my current position as a medium level hobbyist.

lol i understand. just wanted to get a conversation going and what other people's thoughts are.

Ill play... Personally my involvement in this hobby stems from when I was just a little (5) girl standing on my toes to see into my dad's discuss tank. My dad was blessed with 2 girls, so it was difficult for him to relate to us on most things... barbies, glitter, girl scouts, ect. He did his very best to come up with things that we would be able to have in common with each other. He even became a girl scout and his mission was to teach us not to be scared of bugs lol. Well, my dad's love of fish was intoxicating and he let me and my sister pick the fish he kept. We helped with everything, feeding, cleaning, acclimating... it was amazing and fun! Now I'm 30 and no longer on my daddy's knee watching the fish. Instead, his tank is long gone and mine keeps getting bigger. We still have that common bond together and I know I can always count on dad to be excited about a new addition or to hear something new I learned. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but it's what I took it to mean. This hobby is special to me, and I'm happy that my dad and I can always bond over it.

How about this? The first picture is of my 10 gallon nano from 7 years ago. The last is my current 75 gallon. Evolution in action :)

I ended up writing a huge (to me) post discussing this. I'll have to copy it.
