Reef safe, yes or no? I have a mainly LPS, softy tank. Pistol shrimp, and cleaner shrimp, various CUC. 45g. Already have 1 wrasse, a leopard wrasse.

Reef safe, but will eat small invertebrates. I have one, I've seen him eat small snails and I don't have any type of shrimps beside a cleaner, which it doesn't seem to bother.

I've watched them eat Peppermint shrimp, snails, and even go after (unsuccessfully) small crabs. If you don't mind losing these, then sure, it won't hurt your corals! ;)

Yeah, as others have said, they do have a taste for shrimp.

I've always said, they like to eat shrimp when you're not looking.

However, what's most important, is they almost always don't get along with other wrasses. The presence of the leopard wrasse is a definite NO on the addition, imo.

I have to agree here. It will probably harass all other wrasses in a tank that small. In a very large tank you may be able to get away with having them together, but still could have problems. I haven't put one in my 210 because I am worried about how it will interact with other wrasses and anthias.

Aggresive towards other Wrasses. It won't bother corals at all. So it is reef safe, maybe not Wrasse safe.

I have a leopard, flasher, and mystery all in my 40gal tank. Never have had any issues. The mystery was the last one placed.

My mystery will not eat snails but can go through 24 blue legs in a couple days.lol

Thank you for all the response's. I really do love my leopard wrasse. She's fat, happy, and eats mysis so I dont want her being bothered. Although I wouldnt mind putting in a mystery wrasse to eat all my blue leg hermits...i'm wanting to get rid of them...

Before the loss of a couple of fish I had a Mystery, Flame, Lubbocks, and Solar wrasse in a 135g without any problems.
