I fell behind on your thread. Ton's has happened.
I really like the new setup. You got things up higher and now plenty of room on bottom for more.
Certainly better for flow.

It's cuz you are busy mixing colors to paint your corals. Those colors just can't be natural.

All corals except Acans are on 2" frag discs.

So took some pics. Including some dirty Acan pics. Bubble Algae is still there but dying off. No biggie though, nothing to stress about. Most of my SPS grow faster and are growing over it.

See the messed up top part in the back of this frag? There's where a snail pushed a few corals together. Just a tiny branch that got stung and died, no big deal.

@FLSharkvictim -- Tropic Eden is actually what I use too. Thanks to @mdbannister for understanding my selective cheapness. A word on Selective Cheapness -- There's something wrong with you when a $500 frag the size of a pinky nail makes perfect sense, but a $30 bag of sand is blasphemy. It's good having hoarder friends lol. Secondly... I live in the land of reefers. I'm convinced based on nothing but pure conjecture that there's more reef keepers in southern California than any 3 states combined (including the rest of california). It hurt a lil, but I turned down a free 48x24x20 leemar tank made of Starfire glass. That was a $2-3,000 tank. Free.I also have a 36x18x20 tank in my closet.. The 18" depth (front to back) is just a little too small for me. Or I'd have set that up and gone through hell to do it LOL. I'll also need another light... So that's another $800 I don't want to spend.

@Rakie, I certainly hope so, there are 20.8 million people just in Southern Cal vs the 20.98 million for the entire State of FL, THATS A no-brainer mate! Anyhow, how are you doing up there with all of the fires? Have you experienced in your area yet? I hope all the best for the people in Malibu and the areas that really got it badly..

I think the CE has helped that, I also feel that the CE is responsible for some of my dormant LPS/Softies absolutely exploding in growth.

I have resumed aminos on my tank after the Cyanobacteria cleared out. But now I dilute it first in tank water and am only doing it every third day. The SPS are already thanking me after a couple of doses.

It's the only Amino I've used that I liked. You get some great results with it.
