cuz i wanted to get rid of a pistol i got recently because i did not listen to the warnings about putting him in, he is constantly messing with the rock structure and he doesnt get along with the goby marine warehouse sold me with him.. plus he attacks me when i put my hand in the tank! lol i would just take him out and trade him back to the store but that would require me to take everything out of the tank and thats definitely not worth the trade in value to me. =/ ive used a bottle trap to remove peppermints before but i dont think that will work because he never ventures out from the rock work so i dont think that will work.. so basicually ive decided to kill him because i know i can recapture a blood shrimp with the bottle trap.. =]

lol darn, even if i get a big enough blood shrimp? i saw some big guys today, and the pistol is no bigger than a inch and a half.

pretty much nothing that can get into the pistols hole will defeat it. i've read that it'll even kill fish if they threaten it but mines never been a problem. he just hangs out and bulldozes sand everywhere. also blood shrimp are expensive cleaners so having one killed by the pistol will be an expensive lesson. best bet is to dig him out that's what i had to do

I've never had a blood shrimp, but from what I've seen online and in the LFS, it doesn't have big claws for defensive purposes like the pistol. I see it like bringing a knife to a gun fight

lol idk, i just remember my dad saying that they were aggressive when he had one... geez lol i hate having to take everything out.. i had a flame hawk that was giving me problems before eating all my hermits, i should of did more research before this impulse buy.. (btw youtube is what made me want one in the first place, ive seen all the videos. lol)

You need to research every invert/fish/coral that you put into your tank before you do it. I know its hard when you are in an LFS, but know what you are putting in before you do it. I have learned that myself when I started, and now I make sure to do the research. It'll help you out done the road and give you less headaches.
