Guicho, very interesting findings to your testing are you using SeaChem Reef for these results ???. Mine are quite different and a S.G. mixed to 1.026 am getting PH = 8.3, Cal = 490, Alk = 4.5meq not dkh, Mg = 1400+ Have not tested for Nitrate or Phosphates but do not necessarily want 0.0 as have plenty of hungry mouths to take care of any if present.

I have a hard time thinking of a single salt make that has been on the market for more than year which has not put out a substandard batch at some point.

One thing I suggest is to not use all of a bag or bucket before opening the next one.
I use about 2/3 then start blending the remaining 1/3 with the next bag/bucket.
This way if there is a difference the change is gradual and hopefully one I can catch a problem before it becomes a problem.

I'll have to concur with TJ on this one. Just about the same readings I got. Mixing at 1.025.

ive been doing water changes in a way we were told not to do by the salt manufactures for 10 weeks now with very good results.
I bought a bunch of RC do to price but have always been a redsea regular fan so I decided to alternate between the 2 salts
10% every week. one week redsea regular and one week reef crystals
well after 10 weeks the tanks has evolved amazingly.
this has also kept my cost down.

fish and corals have responded very well
