yep....public tap water has 200-400 ppm of various innate things floating around..nasty to think about it even though its innate particles

from the water service line into my house i go thru a whole house filter 10microns, then thru a water softener unit, then to my RODI unit.

I must say, using a water Softener easily triples the life of my filters

That is a bunch of debris for just 24 hours. I am on a well so my TDS is fairly low but I go through a ton of Anion resin because my Co2 levels are very high as my well is 320 feet in the earth.;Wideyed

yea i thought so too

When ever I notice something not looking right the first thing I go to is the TDS.

I can't even begin to tell you the problems I chased with my tank only to find out I needed to add a few stages on to my RODI and salinity due to junk hydrometers all saying something different. Spent way too much money on other things.

Once I straightened these 2 things out my tank is doing the best it ever has.

I basically doubled the CB, Membrane, and DI on my RODI and once my TDS says 1, I change them all except the membranes. Overboard? Maybe. Safe? Definitely.

...not to mention what you can’t see! Thank you for the good reminder!
