Usually Confused
Ok, I had the second of 5 original 5 Blue/Green chromis expire yesterday, after about a year. (The first was many months ago). This got me to thinking about fish names as my family has always referred to them collectively as the Jacksons (or The Jackson 5). Since we can't remember all of their names, sometimes Reggie, Alan, Stonewall, Jesse, and others were part of the group.
This shows that my family is just a bit nuts as we tend to name all of our fish, but we also tend to rename them as something better comes along. My other current fish names are as follows:
"Grace Slick" (a Scopas Tang, who gracefully slips in and out of the rock work)
"Obi Wan the Goby" (a yellow watchman, formerly known as "Uncle Kracker")
"Lola" (a Bartlett's Anthias. "Layla" my first choice, never seemed to fit)
"Mort and Perl" (Clown pair, named after a friend's parents, and the third set to carry these monikers in the last 30 years)
"Niki Six" (6-line Wrasse, named for obvious reasons)
"The Jacksons"
